Since the height of the recent CoronaVirus pandemic, being quarantined and
isolated from the world, I found painting to be an outlet for stress and anxiety. Sometimes the counselor needs counseling, even though I hold a Doctorate in Counseling and Psychology. My therapist suggested that I find a hobby. I have several hobbies that I enjoy to relax my mind. Puzzles, breathing, yoga, journaling, swimming, meditation, and painting are therapeutic activities for me. Now it's my turn to practice what I preach. Painting took over my time and my living room. I have numerous paintings of my own and have shared them with others. Now retired, the Art for the Heart Initiative has taken on a life of its own, with people requesting it. I find pleasure in sharing my therapeutic experiences with others. Painting my way to a better me has rejuvenated an appreciation for the changes and growth that life brings to a life.

Title or Location: Just for fun
Illustration is my favourite style of painting. I did this one just for fun. That?s why it?s the tile of the artwork. Would love to illustrate children?s books. I paint just as a hobby though.
